Facility Rules & Regulations
- Zero Tolerance Policy: MNP Community & Sport Centre will not tolerate violence or threats of violence including, but not limited to: any act of physical assault, verbal assault, threats and attempts to intimidate, throwing of articles in a deliberate or aggressive manner, aggressively approaching another individual, striking another individual, attempting to goad or incite violence in others. Those demonstrating inappropriate behaviour, language or participating in any form of demonstration inside the buildings is prohibited, including wearing items or clothing with visible political or negative messages will be declined entry or be asked to leave and may result in the cancellation of membership and/or may be banned from the facility.
- For your own protection and future use of our facility, DO NOT share your Access Card or barcode number. Sharing of ACCESS CARDS or BARCODES may result in immediate suspension of facility access.
- Food is not permitted in the following spaces: track, pools, gyms, studios and Fitness Centre.
- Lost & Found Policy: MNP Community & Sport Centre is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property. For valuable items such as wallets or cell phones, if accessible the owner is contacted immediately and the valuables are taken to Calgary Police Service after 1 month. Other unclaimed valuables such as jewelry, glasses and small electronics are securely stored for 1 month and then donated. Clothing, shoes swimwear and towels are brought to the Customer Service Desk and donated after 1 week. Please note, due to hygienic and safety controls and alignment with AHS, any water bottles, socks or underwear found are disposed of immediately in a recycling bin.
- No solicitation.
- Cell phones and camera enabled devices are prohibited in locker rooms.
- MNP Community & Sport Centre does not permit outside personal trainers access to the facility with their clients for liability and legal purposes. If you wish to facilitate the service of using a personal trainer within the confines of the building, it must be with one of our highly qualified and certified trainers, pertaining to our own industry standards.
- As per the provincial Tobacco Reduction Act, the act of smoking in public places and workplaces is prohibited. Smoking of any kind, electronic/vapour included are prohibited inside MNP Community & Sport Centre and within 5 meters from the doorway, window or air intake.
- NOISE POLICY: The Alberta Health & Safety Code states that we as an employer must not expose our workers to decibels higher than 94 dBA in a 1 hour time frame or 80 dBA ongoing. We actively check our decibel reader during classes to ensure we are meeting the standards of our noise management policy.
Capturing images & video surveillance policy:
- This facility is under 24 hour video TV surveillance, and your image may be captured. The TVs are for the safety and protection of our customers, to help eliminate and mitigate instances of theft, vandalism, damages to goods and property and other prohibited activity.
- Media professionals must obtain permission prior to capturing any images or video within the facility. Visit our Customer Service Desk to complete a Media Release Form.
- Please be respectful when using Cameras and Video Equipment in the Facility. To ensure that everyone has an amicable experience, please obtain consent from others that might be in your shot, this includes photos of children without the permission of their parent or guardian. Choose filming spots carefully, and refrain from using lights, flashes and music. Any images taken or posted for business or selling purposes are not allowed.
Locker Rooms
Public
- Cell phones and camera enabled devices are prohibited in locker rooms.
- MNP Community & Sport Centre is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property.
- Children over 6 years of age must use the locker room of their gender or the family/ universal change rooms.
- Lockers are for day-use only.
- The Security cameras in men’s change room have strict viewing protocols and can only be accessed if there is a reported criminal activity with a case # assigned by the Calgary Police Service. The cameras are also on an entirely separate server and password protected.
Executive
- Cell phones and camera enabled devices are prohibited in locker rooms.
- MNP Community & Sport Centre is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property.
- Adult Only – you must be 18 years of age or older to enter.
- No guests allowed.
- Lockers are for day-use only.
